Our OBD2 with diagnostics device can tell you why your Engine light is on by providing the exact code and a description of what the code means. If your engine light turns on because you didn’t place the gas cap back on correctly, no need to spend money on a diagnostic test from the dealer.

The trip log includes the starting time/address, ending time/address and total kilometers driven for each trip.

FAQs

Can the OBD device reset the check engine light?

No, since the device is on all the time and attached to your car, we have disabled the two -way communication to avoid someone having access to your OBD port.

Who has access to my data?

Only you and anyone you have given access to.  We do not use, sell, rent or share your data with anyone. Ever.

What is the warranty on the OBD device?

One year warranty directly through Auto Pinger.  If you have any problems with the device, please reach out to us.

Can I suspend or canel my monthly data?

You can cancel or suspend your monthly data plan at anytime.  Since it is pre-paid,  you will not be refunded for the current month. You can cancel or put your data plan on hold through your account online, or just send us an email.

How do I add a phone to the location tracking app?

Download the GPS Pinger Client app from Google Play Store or the Apple Store. Set the Device Identifier on the app for the phone you want to tracker.  Go to the tracking app and click the + button next to Devices.  Add the Device Identifier and name the device. It will start updating within 3 minutes.

How often does the OBD device update with data?

While the vehicle is running, it will update every 9 seconds.  When the vehicle is off, every 9 minutes.

Do you support magnet trackers?

Yes, our platform supports magnet trackers, SoS devices and other GPS trackers. We support over 1500 devices. Please reach out to us to confirm that your device is supported on our system.

Where can I buy magnet and asset trackers?

Our sister site www.gpspinger.ca has asset and magnet trackers that are supported on our platform.

I have my own device, do you offer just LTE data?

Yes.  Please visit our sister site at www.gpspinger.ca to order a data-only plan.  You can also order a software only plan if you already have a device and data.

Can I temporarily put the OBD in a different car to read the fault code?

Yes.  Place the OBD device in a different car, start the engine and you will see the diagnostics data. If you are concerned that it will skew the data for your main vehicle, just email us and we will filter your data based on your VIN number.
